The police claim that Britain's airports weren't involved in America's secret kidnap and torture operation - but is it beginning to unravel?
Britain played no part in the CIA's 'secret torture flights' - according to the country's top police officers. But this programme can reveal that their eighteen month long supposed investigation barely scratched the surface
The Association of Chief Police Officers didn't request any flight plan information - and there's no suggestion that they interviewed anyone from the security services.
ACPO told civil liberties campaigners they simply didn't have the resources to investigate further.
