Police have changed their terminology from worried, to greatly worried to gravely worried over the course of a week.

The search for nine-year-old Shannon Matthews has entered its sixth day - and still no news.

There's been a huge search across her home town of Dewsbury in West Yorkshire. The police have searched more than 200 homes, received 300 phone calls from the public and released video of Shannon's last movement - a trip to the swimming pool with her classmates shortly before she vanished.

But so far it has yielded nothing and police have changed their terminology from worried, to greatly worried to gravely worried over the course of a week.

We are travelling back to Dewsbury to meet police this lunchtime for an update - but unless the girl turns up it's unlikely that they can say much more than they already have.

Our cameraman Al Thomson is out with officers this morning as they spread out searching more wasteland, shrubs, fields and the like.

We'll wait and see if today there is a development on this story - but as it stands Shannon is still missing and it seems that no-one has a clue where she is.

Anyone who can help with Shannon's whereabouts can contact the police on a dedicated number 01274 373737 or text via 07786200806.
