Debbie Purdy, who has multiple sclerosis, brings a landmark case to the high court in an effort to clarify the law on assisted suicide.
When her condition becomes unbearable she wants her husband to help her die.
Purdy says when she is ready her husband should be allowed to help her go to a euthanasia facility in Switzerland without facing prosecution.
Currently this is a crime punishable by up to 14 years in jail in England and Wales.
