Met chief Blair's lowest moment
Updated on 01 November 2007
The guilty verdict against the Metropolitan Police is Sir Ian Blair's lowest moment since becoming its commissioner.
The Metropolitan Police commissioner had already endured the anger of the de Menezes family and a critical report from the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Now he has to contend with a guilty verdict by an Old Bailey jury.
The Conservatives and Liberal Democrats have called for his resignation, but Sir Ian said today that he intended to stay in his job.
