Judge condemns scourge of gangs

As five teenagers are jailed for a total of 100 years for two murders, a judge warns of the influence of gang culture. Samira Ahmed reports.
Five teenagers have been jailed for a total of 100 years for two separate gang-related murders. The judge in one of the cases warned of the "dreadful influence" of gang culture.
Three youths were given life sentences for stabbing 14-year-old Paul Erhahon with a samurai sword in east London last April.
At the same time two other teenagers were jailed for a minimum of 15 years for killing 16-year-old London schoolboy Kodjo Yenga.
As the verdicts were read out, Kodjo's mother said she had been broken by the "overwhelming pain' of her son's death.
