Use this interactive feature to follow developments in the Madeleine McCann story since her disappearance on 3 May.

Early in the evening of 3 May 2007 Kate and Gerry McCann took their daughter Madeleine, then aged three, and their two-year-old twins back to their holiday aprtment in Praia da Luz, Portugal.

The parents are then believed to have left the children in the unlocked apartment and gone to dine with driends at a tapas bar nearby.

Gerry McCann went to check on them at just past 9pm, followed by a friend 25 minutes later. At around 10pm kate McCann returned to check on the children and found Madeleine missing. Madeleine has not been seen since 3 May.
