Police appeal for information after two French exchange students in London were tied up and stabbed before their flat was set on fire.

Two French exchange students were tied up in their flat in south east London and stabbed to death, before their flat was set on fire.

Police described the attack as "horrific" and appealed for information about a man that was seen running from the flat.

Twenty-two year olds Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez were studying bio-engineering at Imperial College in an exchange programme with the University of Clermont-Ferrand, and police say they have no idea why the men were targeted.
