A pilot scheme gives parents access to details of sex offenders living nearby.

Parents in parts of England will be able to find out if anyone with access to their child is a convicted sex offender.

A new home office pilot scheme will allow police to release details if they think a child may be at risk.

The year-long trials are a response to a campaign for a new law allowing more information to be published about where paedophiles live.
