Gary Glitter's lawyer claimed his conviction was a "travesty of justice".
The former glam rocker has arrived arrived back in Britain, having spent a farcical few days in Asian airports following his release from a Vietnamese jail.
Three years ago he was convicted of molesting two girls aged 10 and 11.
Travelling under his real name Paul Gadd, he was met by police as he touched down at Heathrow this morning.
A judge then ordered him to sign the Sex Offenders Register within three days.
