Two NHS doctors planned the failed car bombs at Glasgow airport and central London, a court is told.

''Both these men are doctors who turned their attention away from the treatment of illness to the planning of wholesale murder.'' So said the QC who opened the case today against Bilal Abdullah and Mohammad Asha.

Both men are charged with being part of an Islamist cell that tried to bomb Glasgow airport and central London last June.
