After six deaths in 48 hours there are more calls to tackle the root causes of gun and knife crime.
Church and youth workers meeting at a conference in London said many young people were driven to a life of crime through anger and confusion.
The government is preparing to announce a host of new measures against knives but could they end up making matters worse?
