British terror suspect escapes in Pakistan

A British man who's been accused of involvement in a plot to blow up planes flying from London to the US has escaped from custody in Pakistan.
Two Pakistani policemen are being questioned after Rashid Rauf managed to flee following a court appearance in Islamabad.
Britain wants him extradited to this country, where he's wanted for questioning about the murder of his uncle.
Interior Ministry spokesman, Brigadier Javed Iqbal Cheema, said: "We're trying our best to re-arrest him." The government has set up an enquiry to investigate the incident.
Rauf's lawyer said his client's flight was a mystery.
Arrested in Pakistan in August 2006, Rauf was identified by Pakistani officials as a key figure in a plot to blow up airliners travelling from London to the United States.
But his case ran into a legal quagmire and was being handled by higher and lower courts simultaneously.
