A 21-year-old woman is arrested in Manchester on suspicion of the murder of her two sons.

The bodies of the three-month-old baby and a toddler were found at a house in the Cheetham Hill area of the city last night.

Romario and Delayno Mullings-Sewell both suffered a single stab wound to the abdomen, although police say the exact cause of death is still under investigation. Their mother has now been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

The Independent police complaints commission is investigating what happened before the brothers were killed. The commission says police were called earlier in the afternoon, only to return after being told the children were dead three hours later.
