Condemned in court for its "surrender" to a "threat" by the Saudis, the government's under pressure to reopen its BAE corruption probe.
Judges at the high court ruled that the Serious Fraud Office acted unlawfully when it dropped its investigation, after the then Prime Minister Tony Blair claimed it was vital for national security.
They said the image of Britain's legal impotence invited "dismay, if not outrage".
BAE said today's ruling was a matter for the SFO and the anti arms trade campaigners who brought the case.
