Al-Qaida plot for mass casualties

Yesterday's raids across the north of England concerned a plan to explode bombs in high-profile locations in Manchester , Simon Israel reports
b>Channel 4 News has learnt that the plot was driven by al-Qaida and designed to cause large-scale casualties.
Evidence has been uncovered suggesting targets included the Trafford Centre and a nightclub.
This programme's sources say the 12 people arrested after yesterday's raids were part of an attack group from Pakistan, marking a break with previous plots which have relied on British recruits.
