The man believed to be the 'fifth 21/7 bomber' has pleaded guilty to conspiring to cause explosions in the failed attacks.
Manfo Asiedu pleaded guilty to a single charge of conspiring to cause explosions in connection with the failed July 21 bomb attacks in London. Asiedu, also known as Sumaila Abu Bakari, could face a maximum life sentence for the charge.
Asiedu admits purchasing all of the hydrogen peroxide used in the attempted bombings but says he refused to take part in the attacks.
It is alleged that Asiedu "lost his nerve at the last moment" and dumped his device in Little Wormwood Scrubs in West London where it was founded a few days later.
Four other men were jailed for life at Woolwich Crown Court following convictions of conspiracy to murder. The home-made bombs failed to go off because the men made mistakes calculating ratios of the deadly ingredients. Asiedu will be sentenced on 19 November.
