More than one in four boys look at porn every week, a new poll suggests.

A total of 27% of 14 to 17-year-old boys in the UK admitted accessing porn on a weekly basis.

The poll of almost 2,000 boys and girls found 30% of 14 to 17-year-olds had had sexual experiences under the age of consent.

More than a third (34%) said sex was not discussed openly in their family while 29% did not understand the medical process involved in having an abortion.

More than one in 10 (16%) did not know that there was no cure for HIV/Aids.

The survey was carried out for Channel 4's The Sex Education Show, which screens for the first time on Tuesday at 8pm.

Presented by Anna Richardson, the six-part series aims to "redress the lack of information available to young people about sex and relationships", the channel said.
