Suchet tells of wife's dementia

The former ITN newsreader John Suchet has broken his silence about his wife's dementia in a bid to raise awareness about the disease

Sixty-seven-year old Bonnie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease three years ago, and can't remember which families her five grandchildren belong to.

The presenter gets helps help to care for his wife from the NHS - but says that isn't available everywhere else in the country.

Speaking to Carl Dinnen, John Suchet tells of how difficult a decision it had been to talk openly about his wife's disease.
