Private firms to run hospitals

Channel 4 News learns that government plans for struggling NHS hospitals might involve private companies.

Critics say involving private companies in struggling hospitals is nothing less than privatisation of the NHS.

The government says 20 hospitals in England and Wales are on the critical list and it's determined to turn them around.

With hospitals haemorrhaging money and failing in patient care, tomorrow it will detail how it intends to tackle underperformance and drive up standards.
