Human-to-human swine flu in UK
Updated on 01 May 2009
A health worker from Falkirk is the first person in the UK to be infected by the H1N1 virus by human-to-human contact.
He hadn't visited Mexico, but still contracted swine flu.
Graeme Pacitti fell ill following a night out with a football team mate who'd just returned from honeymoon in Mexico.
News of the positive test came as health officials revealed there are now eleven cases in the UK, while the virus has now spread to 13 countries.
