Alzheimer's drugs denied by NICE

The health watchdog NICE has ruled out prescribing Alzheimer's drugs for early stages of the disease.

It's blatant cost-cutting and victimising the most vulnerable in society.

That was the view of Alzheimers campaigners today as the national institute for clinical excellence ruled out prescribing anti-alzheimers drugs for those in the initial stages of the disease.

This is despite the drugs only costing around £2.50 a day.
