The largest earthquake in 25 years hit the UK this morning, but did you feel it? We want your stories, photos and videos. Send them to news@channel4.com.

The b earthquake was felt across the country, from Newcastle in the north, Norfolk in the east, Kent in the south and Wales in the west.

Buildings shook throughout Britain at one o'clock this morning, but the only injury was a broken pelvis suffered by a man in South Yorkshire when a chimney collapsed through the roof of his attic bedroom.

The British Geological Survey said the epicentre of the 5.2 magnitude quake was near Market Rasen in Lincolnshire.

"I live in a 2nd floor apartment in a terrace building in Cheltenham. I was woken by the earthquake at 12.45. It lasted 20 to 30 seconds.

The whole building swayed, my bed moved and my wardrobe swayed, while its doors opened and closed. It was very loud and scared me a lot. I'm still shocked and stunned by the experience. Luckily there is no damage to the property!"

"I went to bed around 12.40ish and was dozing. I awoke to hear what I thought was my dog on the landing having a bloody good scratch !!

I heard my light rattling downstairs - a bit like when a huge lorry thunders past your house so I put my bedside light on looked at the dog who in turn looked back at me.

I said Bloody Hell Scoo - you've never scratched like that for that long before - you're making the house rattle - go to bed boy!

He turned and ran back downstairs and I went back to bed.

It was only driving to work this morning that I heard the news and realised what it was!!!"

"I woke up this morning at 1a.m. thinking my cat was chasing something around the room, when I realised she was still on the bed.

I thought there was something in the room and turned the light on - nothing there, I thought this is spooky, the cat was wide away and looking around the room as if there was something there. Came down this morning and heard about the earthquake - what a relief!"
