Hundreds of people are living in temporary accommodation after more than a thousand homes were flooded in the Northumberland town of Morpeth.

After a weekend of torrential rain - fears of flooding across England and Wales are easing - but the Environment Agency is keeping a "watchful eye" as forcasters predict more heavy rain.

Five people have died because of the wet weather. The latest is a 27-year-old man who died after a trench collapsed at a building site in Stroud.
