The futuristic Earthrace speedboat ticks the green boxes - but how good is it for the environment?
It is a powerful green machine designed to withstand 15-metre-high waves, despite being built using recycled ice cream containers and hemp.
But is the futuristic speedboat Earthrace really good for the environment?
Fuelled by biodiesel, including some of the fat extracted from its captain by liposuction, the boat will attempt to break the round the world speed record of 74 days, 23 hours and 53 minutes next year, while staying carbon-neutral.
