Greens hail climate change law
Updated on 27 October 2008
Green groups rarely praise the government, but Friends of the Earth says Britain is planning "a world class climate change law".
The compliment was prompted by the government's decision to include shipping and aviation in the bill.
The change is set to be announced tomorrow, when MPs vote on a series of amendments to the bill, which will introduce the world's first legally binding national targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
