Fourth farm is foot and mouth free
Updated on 11 August 2007
As tests on another farm where foot and mouth disease was suspected prove negative, Defra lifts its temporary control zone.
DEFRA said the temporary control zone around the farm in Dorking had now been lifted.
However the original protection zone around Pirbright is still in place and the Government's chief vet told farmers it was still essential to remain on guard.
The foot and mouth scare is by no means over: but it could be the beginning of the end.
