England's wetlands to be restored

A grand plan to restore and expand large areas of wetland across England is launched today.
An alliance of conservationists and government agencies has mapped the decline of traditional wetlands habitats, saying 90 per cent have disappeared.
They argue that their protection is not just a matter of clinging on to beautiful landscapes and wetland birds, but a crucial move to tackle flooding and combat climate change.
