Dawning of a 'Green Revolution'

They're heralding it as a "Green Revolution", with thousands of new wind turbines to be built across the country over the coming decade.

The £100bn blueprint, unveiled this morning by the prime minister and the business secretary, John Hutton, proposes that one-third of electricity will come from renewable sources by 2020.

The prime minister said that reducing our dependence on oil was the key to economic and social prosperity both today and in the future.
