Five hundred die in Haiti as a second storm threatens the Bahamas and US Gulf oil production.
Tropical storm Hanna made landfall in the US early this morning after causing devastation in the Caribbean nation of Haiti.
It is expected to make its way along America's east coast, bringing heavy rains and flash flooding.
But it is Hurricane Ike, with wind speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, which is causing most concern as it bears down on Cuba and the Gulf oil fields.
