A lack of grit ahead of more snowstorms

A picture emerges of a gritting crisis, as the second major snowstorm this week brings more school closures and transport chaos. Tom Clarke reports.

It seems there is simply not enough salt to go around.

Most of England was hit by heavy snowfalls overnight and into the morning, as were Wales, Northern Ireland and northern Scotland.
