Top 10 primary school sell-offs

Earlier this year Channel 4 News online used the Freedom of Information Act to ask councils across Britain to disclose the details of primary school sell-offs since 1997.

Specifically the councils were asked:

a) How many primary schools did the council control at the end of the school year in 1997?

b) How many primary schools is the council set to control at the end of the school year in 2008?

c) From the period July 1997, to July 2008, how many primary school sites have been sold off?

d) If any have been sold, what was the total received by the council for the sales?

e) Does the council currently have any primary school sites earmarked for sale? If so, how many?
