Should there be black focused schools?

More4 News reports on the campaigner Lee Jasper's calls for "black focused" special academies to address why so many black boys are failing in schools.

The idea of schools divided, deliberately, along racial lines may bring to mind the days of segregation in the United States, or even apartheid South Africa.

But the idea of separate schools for black pupils in Britain is now being seriously canvassed as a means to address the relative underachievement of many black children - particularly boys.
