Schools losing touch with poetry

Poetry is not, it would seem, in motion.
The teaching of classic poetry in secondary schools is under threat, with English lessons being filled with lightweight verse and a limited selection of poems.
That's the conclusion of an Ofsted study, which says secondary school lessons are dominated by exam preparation which is leading to dull classes - while in primary schools teachers often don't feel confident teaching poetry to their pupils.
The Children's Laureate, Michael Rosen, came into the studio to talk about how he tries to engage children with poetry.
