Schools braced for strike action

The prime minister describes tomorrow's planned teachers' strike as "very regrettable".

The prime minister was speaking in the Commons as several thousand schools prepare to close or partially shut as a result of industrial action by the National Union of Teachers.

The NUT is striking over a pay deal recommended by an independent review body.
