Exam board says schools fail diploma

Edexcel claims that schools still don't know how to teach diplomas designed as a credible alternative to A-Levels in England, although they're due to introduce them in September.
Inadequate training for teachers and too demanding for pupils, that's the verdict on the government's flagship diploma course from the leading exam board.
Concerns have also been raised over whether the diploma will be too demanding for students, leading to the possibility that more pupils will come away with no qualification at all.
