2012 Olympics 'economic gold'?

Tessa Jowell says the timing might not be perfect for London to host the 2012 Olympics due to the current economic climate.

Jowell has admitted that organisers might not have bid for the event had the financial crisis been expected.

But despite the global financial troubles the Olympics minister insists the event has the potential to be "economic gold".
