Rise of the e-card

Increasingly sophisticated e-cards are doing the rounds this year. Is this the end of the traditional Christmas card?
Not much good for decorating your mantelpiece - great for anyone who's environmentally aware - or too disorganised to catch the last post.
It seems that this is the year of the 'e-card' - an electronic Christmas greeting sent by email. Some are anonymously corporate - others highly elaborate - but does this spell the end of the traditional Christmas card?
