The secret world war two documents smuggled out of France - that chart the birth of the nuclear bomb.

Top-secret research smuggled across the channel - it sounds like the plot of a war time classic.

Sealed since the 2nd World War, classified documents have just been opened: written by French nuclear scientists, and brought to Britain in 1940, they were hidden away - their contents considered too significant to share.

Today's events coincide with the seventy-fifth anniversary of the discovery of the neutron - a vital stage in the development of the atom bomb.

Our Science Correspondent Julian Rush went along to look at have a look.
