Mars Rover still taking snaps

Sent four years ago with batteries to take pictures for four months, Nasa's Mars Rover is still taking pictures.

Apparently, it's not lost in space. Nasa thought the Mars Rover's batteries would pack up in months, but four years on its cameras are clicking away.

Little green men?

Mars has long been a source of mystery to us earthlings - not least as the planet we like to speculate might be inhabited.

Well, we're not saying it's little green men, but something seems to be keeping Nasa's two Mars Rovers charged well beyond the best before date on its solar batteries.
