Limiting damage from climate change

Although Britain could be an average two degrees warmer by 2040, cutting greenhouse gases could help us avoid severe climate shifts. Tom Clarke reports.

Temperature increases, higher sea levels, and an increased risk of flooding are just some of the predictions of what could happen to Britain's climate in the next 70 years, according to a new study.

It is the first time such detail has been published on how climate change will affect our everyday lives. The report is designed to help local authorities and government plan for the future.
