House of Lords committee says banks should be liable for internet fraud

A House of Lords committee says the banks should be made legally liable for internet fraud, not customers.
The government should introduce legislation making banks liable for internet fraud rather than customers, according to a new report.
The House of Lords' Science and Technology Committee has found that the current system, where customers report incidents of crime to their banks rather than police and are often not compensated, is unfair.
