Earth-like planet discovered

Scientists searching for habitable worlds in space say they have found the most earth-like planet so far.

It is the lightest known planet, with only twice the mass of the earth, and has been given the less than snappy name Gliese 581e.

It's definitely not to be confused with Gliese 581d, which has less to offer by way of facilities, but is in a more promising location should we ever be on the lookout for a new home.
