Delivering a digital Britain
Updated on 16 June 2009
The government's plan for Britain's digital future is revealed today. But can it deliver on promises for high-speed broadband and public sector broadcasting? Jenny Wivell reports.

Gordon Brown this morning pledged to transform Britain into the "digital capital of the world".
The government's Digital Britain report, published later today is expected to recommend a minimum speed for broadband and pledge to bring all households up to two megabits per second by 2012.
But doubts are being raised over whether that can be delivered. Lord Carter's report will also propose legislation to force internet service providers to tackle online piracy.
But no decision is expected on the sharing of the BBC licence fee with ITV and Channel 4, leaving their futures unresolved.
Benjamin Cohen has been to Wembley where some residents will be able to access the fastest broadband speeds in Europe.
