Lobbying in Washington has stepped up because President Obama's climate change bill will determine many countries' policies.

December's climate summit in Copenhagen has been the focus of frantic diplomatic activity, all this week talks are going on in Barcelona.

But what action will the nations of the world take to combat global warming will in reality be decided in Washington.

That has made Capitol Hill the scene of fevered lobbying and activism from all sides.

But although much of the big bucks of the business lobby are still being deployed to block the bill, it is not a straightforward case of greens versus capitalists.
