Broadband providers will have to act quickly when a customer wants to move.

Customers can encounter huge problems when they try to switch broadband provider.

Difficulties include internet service providers refusing to issue toe crucial code to enable consumers to switch, as well an apparently phantom technical fault called "tagging".

New regulations which should come into force next year will force providers to act quickly when a customer wants to move.
