CERN's earth-swallowing black hole experiment begins in Switzerland

An experiment in Switzerland that some fear could create an earth-swallowing black hole, begins.

The £5bn Large Hadron Collider has been powered up in Geneva, designed to recreate the birth of the universe by smashing sub atomic particles together and seeing what happens.

So what have we learned so far?
