Breast regrowth hope for mastectomy sufferers

Scientists plan human trials using a technique that could allow women who have had mastectomies to regrow their own breast tissue. Julian Rush reports

Scientists in Australia are to begin the first human trials of the  procedure.

Surgeons will implant a device that allows some of the women's own fat tissue to multiply and replace breast tissue.

Doctors hope that in future the technique could be used for reconstructive surgery in other parts of the body.
