Blair launches YouTube 'channel'

Tony Blair has taken another step into the internet age by launching a YouTube 'channel' for 10 Downing Street.
The Prime Minister - thought to be the first world leader to have a dedicated presence on the popular video site - posted a message congratulating Nicolas Sarkozy on his victory in the French presidential election.
For good measure, Mr Blair also showed off his linguistic skills by recording a version in French.
Dressed casually in a blue shirt and no tie, Mr Blair said: "Nicolas Sarkozy is someone I know well, I like him very much, I respect him.
"He's a strong leader and I know he will want to forge a good and close partnership between Britain and France for the good of our two countries, for Europe and for the wider world."
Mr Blair, whose relationship with current President Jacques Chirac has been notoriously turbulent, said the nations did not "always agree", but were linked by common bonds of history and culture.
The weekend's elections had shown French democracy in a "good light", he added.
The Labour Party has already launched a YouTube channel, while Tory leader David Cameron has started an internet blog known as WebCameron.
