David Cameron promises a new age of austerity to balance the country's books at the party conference in Cheltenham.

The Conservative leader pledged to make a host of cuts if the Tories win the next election.
Blaming Labour for the recession, he told party activists in Cheltenham that a culture of thrift was the only way forward.
He also said his government would publish details of top-earning public servants who he accused of "getting rich at the taxpayers' expense".
