Police in Zimbabwe break up more protests amidst claims that the opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai suffered head injuries while in custody.
Described by his deputy as "battling for his life" - Zimbabwe's opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been treated in hospital for head injuries after apparently being badly beaten while in police custody.
Amid growing tension in Zimbabwe - Mr Tsvangirai was arrested - along with dozens of other opposition members - at a prayer meeting in the capital Harare - a gathering held in defiance of the government's ban on political rallies.
The US and British governments have condemned the crackdown - which came amid signs the President Robert Mugabe wants extend his term of office.
